Objective

  • Up The Creek is a music festival hosted in South Africa providing focused on good times and rock n' roll. The client tasked our team to come up with a social media strategy to attract a younger audience to their festival, and to highlight the brands and vendors at the event.

Requirements

  • A social media campaign to increase brand awareness and interest for people aged between 20 - 34, living in Johannesburg, Durban, or Cape Town
  • To increase brand awareness of the vendors and sponsors of the festival
  • To capture professional content that is optimised for TikTok & Instagram
  • To collaborate with a local influencer with the required target audience

Creative Process

  • The requirement from the client was to attract a younger audience, hence we knew our campaign needed to be hip, fresh, and engaging to promote the fun and festivities of the brand. We storyboarded an idea for the campaign, and then worked with the client during the festival to film a social media video that highlighted a youthful appeal.
